“Wonder Workshop’s approach to teaching coding and robotics allows my students to build and develop computer science skills, while also learning the fundamental skills of critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and creative storytelling.”
WONDER WORKSHOP EDUCATION RESOURCES
How to bring coding and robotics to your District.
Today, Computer Science classrooms are active places that encourage exploration, creativity, collaboration, communication, persistence, and problem-solving. Elementary students learn beginning languages like Blockly so they can focus on learning the logic of programming more than the exact syntax required by text-based languages. This is the same approach used by introductory university computer sciences classes like Harvard CS50. Students learn how to write programs that involve loops, variables, functions, events, etc.
During your demo we’ll go over the basics of our robots and curriculum, give you an overview of our platform and programs, and we’ll share some learnings from other districts that have found success in bringing Working Workshop’s robots and teacher training into their schools and classrooms.
