For this year’s Hour of Code, Wonder Workshop held a very special, student-facing 1-hour webinar with Bryan L. Miller, Senior Director of Global Strategic Outreach at Wonder Workshop. Bryan led over 10,000 students through a lesson all about robot sensors, and utilized Dash’s Neighborhood, Wonder Workshop’s virtual robot simulator, where students were able to further test out the sensors in the virtual platform.
“Dash’s Neighborhood brings the magic of our physical Dash robot to screens of students, no matter where they are in the world. This truly allows children to bring coding and furthermore, robotics, to where students learn, any time, anywhere,” say’s Bryan. He goes on to share, “this is especially important in today’s world, where students don’t have the access of learning tools, as they do while being in school, or under non pandemic conditions. Now, all students can learn this week for free, as we have unlocked Dash’s Neighborhood available to all students for CS Ed Week.”
Dash’s Neighborhood is a subscription-based service, a part of Class Connect, Wonder Workshops’s coding-focused learning management system. Throughout Computer Science Education Week, from December 7-11, students can play on Dash’s Neighborhood for free, with no sign-up process. To gain access to Dash’s Neighborhood for your students, and playback of the student-facing lesson, you can sign up below and you will be emailed information.

Dear Educator,
We are reaching out to let you know about an upcoming price adjustment on Wonder Workshop hardware, effective October 9, 2025.
Due to a 19% increase in tariffs on imports from the Philippines, our costs have risen significantly. We recognize that school budgets are tight, and this was not a decision made lightly. These adjustments only partially offset the higher costs we are absorbing.
To continue delivering high-quality products and support, we will be making the following changes:
Bundles that include software (such as Make Wonder subscriptions) will remain unchanged, providing an opportunity to take advantage of savings built into those bundles. .
What this means for you:
Our commitment remains the same: helping you bring coding and robotics to your students in the most accessible way possible.
If you have an open quote or need help finalizing an order, our team is here to assist you.
Thank you for your partnership and for all you do to inspire the next generation of problem solvers.
Sincerely,
Bryan Miller
